    • Are there any grocery stores nearby?
      We have a deli/convenience store next door, steps from our pool and hotel courtyard. There is a Price Chopper about 5 minutes away by car. Target, Walmart, Aldi, Market 32, and Hannaford are about a 15-minute drive in Queensbury.
  • Weddings & Events
    • Can I block rooms for my wedding guests?
      We offer limited room blocks during the summer and may have availability for more rooms or full-property buyouts in June, September, and October.
    • Do you offer wedding or event packages?
      Yes! We offer micro-weddings and elopements. Our micro-wedding package includes a ceremony on the beach or wharf and access to our indoor/ outdoor reception area with tables and chairs.
    • Do you accept large groups?
      We do accept large groups. We like to be transparent about our policies and community space etiquette before anyone books. We provide an excellent environment for multigenerational families with young kids. From our large groups to our families of 3, it is important that everyone respects other people's space and is aware of those around them for all to enjoy themselves. We have quiet hours each night from 10 pm-7 am that apply to outdoor and indoor spaces, including rooms. We keep a list of large groups on property and have a larger gathering area that is sometimes available for use. That area is outside with a covered deck and open field with a couple of picnic tables, fire pits with chairs, and grill. Some grill themselves or just use the space at night for smores, but you are more than welcome to buy catered food and eat there. Just like all the other spaces, quiet hours start at 10 pm.

  • Reservations & Booking
    • What is your cancellation policy?
      Cabin cancellations up to 60 days prior to check-in date will be refunded the deposit less the 5% service charge. Cancellations made inside 60 days will be issued a resort credit. *Cancellations made within 14 days will forfeit deposit and resort credit. Resort credit expires at the end of 2025 Season (October 13, 2025)

      Hotel room cancellations up to 30 days prior to check-in date will be refunded the deposit less the 5% service charge. Cancellations made inside 30 days will be issued a resort credit. *Cancellations made within 7 days will forfeit deposit and resort credit. Resort credit expires at the end of 2025 Season (October 13, 2025).
    • Do you offer special promotions or discounts?
      Yes! We regularly offer promotions and seasonal discounts for seniors and group bookings. Keep an eye on our website specials page and social media for the latest deals!
    • How can I make a reservation?
      You can call us at 518-691-3110 or book directly through our website.  During our off season (November-April) we will be receiving and returning calls and emails during limited hours from throughout the week. Our 2025 calendar is live and up to date on our website. If you have any questions, for the quickest response, email us at [email protected]. You can also leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • Accommodations & Amenities
    • Are the cabins/hotel rooms directly on the lake?
      Our cabins and hotel building are not located directly on the lake, but our property is lakefront. You can take a short walk, or use our complimentary shuttle service, down to our private beach.
    • Do you have ADA rooms available?
      The Stone Gate Resort is not handicap accessible. There are no walk-in/roll-in showers or ramps into the cabins. Read our entire accessibility statement.
    • Do you offer Wi-Fi?
      Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.
    • What is included inside a cabin?
      All cabins come with the following:

    • Is firewood provided for the firepits?
      Firewood is not provided. Firewood can be purchased at Helova Deli next door or at various gas stations and markets in the area. We ask that you do not bring firewood from home as invasive bug species may travel with you and harm the local flora and fauna.
    • Are linens and towels provided?
      All bed linens and bath towels are provided. We do not provide beach/pool towels.
    • Are hot plates allowed?
      Due to the fire code, hot plates are not allowed in the hotel building accommodations, including Family Suites.
    • What amenities are available onsite?

    • Are there chairs at the beach and pool?
      There are Adirondack chairs, loungers, and patio furniture at both the beach and pool. You are more than welcome to bring your chairs.
    • What water sport rentals are available and what is the cost?
      Rentals are available on the beach on a first-come, first-serve basis. Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards, and a Pedal Boat are available to rent for $20/hour.
  • General
    • Where is Stone Gate Resort located?
      The Stone Gate Resort is about a 5-minute drive from the Village of Lake George, about 2 miles. There is no sidewalk on Route 9N and we would not recommend walking.
    • What are your check-in and check-out times?
        • Check-in: 4:00 PM
        • Check-out: 10:00 AM
      Early check-in or late check-out may be accommodated based on availability. Please contact the front desk to arrange this ahead of time. There may be an additional cost for late check-outs.
    • Is the resort open year-round?
      We are open seasonally and close during the colder months. Our season typically begins Memorial Day Weekend and ends in October on Columbus Day.
    • Can you dock a boat or rent a boat slip?
      We do not have any docking space or boat slip rentals available. We do have a space that allows for courtesy pick-ups on a boat, but the boat may not be left unattended for any duration of time.
    • Is the resort family-friendly?
      Absolutely! We provide an array of family-focused amenities. We are a great location for guests of all ages to come together and make memories.
    • Is there a restaurant or breakfast available onsite?
      There is not a restaurant on site, but there is a neighboring deli that is steps away from our hotel courtyard. Breakfast is not included with your stay.
    • Are pets allowed?
      There are no pets allowed on the property. Comfort and/or emotional support animals are not service animals and are not recognized by the ADA.
    • Do you offer daily housekeeping?
      Daily housekeeping is provided for all hotel rooms. Week-long cabin stays are provided with a complimentary mid-week clean. All in-room amenities are available upon request.
    • Do you have a curfew or quiet hours?
      We do not have a curfew on property, but we do have quiet hours. Quiet hours are strictly enforced throughout the resort, including all common areas and inside your accommodation, and begin at 10:00 pm and run until 7:00 am daily. During this time, excessive noise is not permitted. This includes but is not limited to, loud music or entertainment, shouting, running, propping open guest room doors, or any other activity that may be disruptive to other guests. Following a single warning, offending guests will be asked to vacate the premises.
